Battersea, London. Sunday 30 September

St Mary's Battersea  was built in 1775  and considerably restored around 1870

The Blake window

  The Turner window

  The Rothwell monument

John Camden and Elizabeth Nield: A fine example  of Coade stone by Coade of Lambeth from 1752

Edward Wynter's feats of crushing a tiger to death and overcoming 60 mounted moors are shown in the relief.

Although dwarfed by modent flats, the church sitll stands out on the riverside.
