Al Quds Day March

Marble Arch to Waterloo Place, London.Sunday 13 Sept 2009


Both march stewards and police seemed more relaxed than last year   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  
     
  
     


And there were plenty of police to keep the march and anti-march protesters apart at Piccadilly

Although there was a great deal of shouting and gestures of defiance

from both sides. One half of the roadway between the groups was filled with several lines of police

but photographers were allowed in the middle between them - though at this point I was still

in the middle of the marchers
