Ten Years On - Stop The War Coalition

Trafalgar Square & Downing St, London. Saturday 8 Oct 2011

A cage held a 'Tony Blair' figure and orange clad protesters called for Shaker Aamer to be let out of Guantanamo

He is someone with permisison to live here and has a family in Battersea

But has been detained for ten years in Guantamo after being tortured for the USA elsewhere

Shaker Aamer is the last Londoner in Guantanamo

Babar Ahmad is held while the US try to deport him to stand trial there

War on Want brought big guns and bags of money to the protest

The t-shirts say the war on global poverty is the only war worth fighting

Scrap Trident - it has military point, just a stupid political gesture
