![]() St Gabriel's chapel. Already in ruins it was replaced by a new church in Morecombelake in 1841 ![]() The chapel came in useful for storing smuggled goods, brought in to St Gabriel's Bay ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The chapel is halfway up the Golden Cap, but my fellow walkers made us go back down to the coast path ![]() and begin the long climb up Golden Cap again ![]() It took a while to get up past the chapel again ![]() There were cows grazing on the edge of the cliffs ![]() which are none too stable |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We kept going up, and up ![]() I stopped for breath and to admire the patchwork of fields ![]() ![]() ![]() Eventually we were near the top ![]() And then at it and could see down the other side ![]() The Dorset coast stretching away. It was pretty windy |
