Global Frontlines lead Climate March

Hyde Park Corner to Parliament, London. Sun 29 Nov 2015

Two large screens relayed the performances on the stage, the other a few hundred yards along the street in front of Parliament

There were some interesting spoken word performances

 which gained applause, but

the start of the rally at least seemed to be something of an anti-climax to me.

And lacking in political comment on our current governments move away from renewable energy

Kye Gbangbola talks to marchers and collects petition signatures. Floodwater got into landfill adjacent to their home near Chertsey Bridge in
February 2014, killing his 7 year-old son Zane and leaving Kye in a wheelchair. The authorities tried to cover up the cause and to pin blame on him suggesting it was the result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty generator that was not in use, but evidence has now emerged that the fire fighters who attended the incident detected dangerous levels of hydrogen cyanide. Many landfill sites will have similar dumped cyanides and as well as wanting the truth about his son's death, Kye and his partner's campaign wants to ensure that all such sites are properly monitored to prevent similar tragedies.

What part of "irreversible and catastrophic" do you NOT understand?
