These residential boats moored at the former Brentford Gasworks were
the subject of a long legal battle
eventually won by the council, but most of the boats were abandoned
rather than removed
Strand on the Green
Boats would be floated on here at high tide and their bottoms could
then be worked on when the tide was out
This rail bridge carries the Underground and Overground from Kew Bridge
to Gunnersbury
