These cottages probably date from around 1850-1880 and are a pleasant enough group in a not very pleasant place, next to the railway line from London to Hounslow, Windsor and Reading and in what was in 1981 a rather dirty and smelly industrial area. When built, these would have been for the workers in the area.
 
Now they are on the edge of the new development of Wandsworth Riverside on the Thames and Bell Lane Creek, the mouth of the River Wandle, and sell for around a million pounds.
