There are some pictures I can't tell you much about and this is one of them. Taken somewhere in Wandsworth, my best guess would be that this tailors was on the south side of York Road, now called Old York Road, a little west of Wandsworth Town station where I would have got off from the train.
 
It was perhaps an early sign of gentrification in a road which now has its share of boutiques, trendy cafés, galleries and a real plague of estate agents.
