It perhaps seems incredible in out safety-conscious age that only relatively short time ago this was a public footpath, going through the busy working area of the Victoria Deep Water Terminal. It wasn't then a widely used path, but was clearly marked by the yellow lines which can be seen here, and I think on one occasion when I walked through I was politely asked to wait for a few seconds while a container was passing over the path. I waited until I had walked through the site before turning around and taking the several pictures I post here, partly because it felt safer, but mainly to get a better view of the cranes.
