The Victoria Deep Water Terminal is now operated by Hanson UK, the largest producer of aggregates in the UK, and they also produce giant concrete pipes on the site. In 2017 they announced plans to increase production which would mean new buildings on the site and also some regular short closures of the path - now the Thames Path - for perhaps 10 minutes each hour, for cranes to load and unload barges.
