Devon/Dorset Holiday

Rousdon to Lyme Regis, 12-13 Jul 2014

The River Lym runs through the centre of Lyme to the sea

The Town Mill, now a sort of arty cafe and shops

A bus in the centre of Lyme Regis

Our bus ran from this stop, but was a double-decker and came over half an hour late

The sea looked rather less inviting now and it looked like rain

 But some people paddled

The view from our bedroom window

It was Sunday and some people went to churches, but Sam and I decided to walk to a viaduct on the disused Axminster to Lyme Regis railway line

We went down Green Lane in Rousdon past a couple of houses, caravan sites and

a farm

After which the lane became very green indeed. At its end we followed a road that ran parallel to the former railway

though there was little sign of it, other than a road bridge until we got here

where the line of the track had a notice on it

'Private No Footpath', so we kept to the road
