It aims to shift the transport debate beyond anti-road protests to highlight the social and environmental costs of the 'car system'. It raises wider questions about the economic and political forces that drive car culture, questioning in particular assumptions that all economic activity can be considered as beneficial regardless of whether it contributes positively or negates the quality of our lives.
